On Nov. 11, however, it stretched all the way from San Antonio to Rockport, as volunteers from Highland Park Community Bible Church donned orange T-shirts and carpooled to the Church Unlimited campus, where they provided 5,000 Thanksgiving dinners for residents in the area who needed them. Thanksgiving coming early in Rockport

San Antonio church to serve 5,000 meals to residents Rockport residents still recovering from Hurricane Harvey will have one more reason to give thanks this holiday season. The Highland Park Community Bible Church in San Antonio, in partnership with the Somebody Cares Foundation, is set to prepare and serve 5,000 Thanksgiving meals to residents of the coastal town, many of whom may not be able to provide for themselves at the holidays as the community continues cleanup efforts. And for many Del Mar students, it’s been a month full of volunteering. Some students were directly affected by the storm, and several others know of people who are still dealing with its aftermath.
