Walking to Julian’s BBQ from the Harvin Center was hot, but not too unpleasant as the weather had turned nice and the company was enjoyable. The Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, at 502 S. Chaparral St., opens its doors to the public to share its traditions, food, religion and, most importantly, dancing. K Space gallery introduces Loteria during Art Walk Amber Quaid / Managing editor Downtown Corpus Christi got a new artist touch to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. K Space Contemporary revealed Phase I of its Loteria mural on Oct. 3 during a dedication ceremony at the ArtWalk. The mural was displayed on the south side of the Kress building at 619 Chaparral. “The mural faces a lot of oncoming traffic and people can’t miss it,” said Michelle Smythe, executive director of K Space. When people think of NORML, pot smoking is often the first thing that comes to mind. The main objective for the organization is to move the public’s opinion to legalize the responsible use of marijuana, just like alcohol, by adults.
