Del Mar College joins with TAMU-CC today with Transfer Day. As election day rolls around the corner, it is important to make sure that you are registered to vote before the deadline. Today marks National Voter Registration Day. This single day of coordinated field, technology and media efforts will create pervasive awareness of voter registration opportunities–allowing to reach tens of thousands of voters who are unable to reach their local county clerk office. A new Texas law allows individuals who have obtained a concealed handgun license to carry their loaded, concealed weapon in college and university buildings. Since the law took effect on Aug. 24 at the University of Texas, several students have led protests against it on campus by wielding sex toys to display their disagreement over conceal and carry.
