Fall carnival lurks just around the corner

Del Mar College will host the Viking Fall Carnival on Oct. 30. The festival has been going on for over 25 years and is open to students, staff and members of the community.

Prizes for best costumes will be given away and there will be food and fun for everyone.

“The community looks forward to this event every year,” said Beverly Cage, director of Student Leadership and Campus life at Del Mar College. “All volunteer hours will count through the Viking Volunteer Program. At the end of their time here at Del Mar, students receive a volunteer shirt with a medallion and they wear it with the cap and gown.
