Del Mar once again recognized students and employees for their outstanding achievements.
Officials celebrated the 67th annual Recognition Ceremony on April 26 in Richardson Performance Hall.
Edith Gonzalez, English professor, took home teacher of the year for East Campus, and Sylvia Kent Wells, nurse education professor, received the award for West Campus.
Del Mar welcomed six students into the 2018 Hall of Fame, the highest honor a student may receive at Del Mar.
The drama department’s upcoming musical performance, “The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee,” excites more than just the cast according to its various student performers. “This is the kind of show where there’s no real fourth wall, so if you’re sitting in the audience, you’ve come to the spelling bee and I’m going to look at you and I’m going to talk to you because I can and do see you,” cast member Mia Dobbins explained.
