Clubs gather to recruit

Del Mar Student Leadership and Campus Life hosted the fall 2019 Rush Week.

Students were encouraged to join the many clubs that Del Mar has to offer.

Organizations such as the Viking Vibes, Safe Space and the DMC Green Team set up booths in the Harvin Center to inform students of what they do and recruit more members.

“Rush Week is an opportunity for new and returning students who want to get involved in activities that are similar to their interests,” said Mauricio Cantu, president of the Viking Vibes. “It’s for them to meet other people who have similar goals as well as make friends.”

Some clubs may have certain requirements whether it may be having a certain grade point average, a certain major, and participation as well.

Registered clubs are also required to complete one on-campus and one off-campus service project for each semester.

Any student may join a club throughout the semester. For more information about clubs and organizations contact Student Leadership and Campus Life at 361-698-1279.
