Del Mar College’s Student Leadership & Campus Life department held a Valentine’s Day candy buffet Feb. 13 in the Harvin Center. Chocolate-covered strawberries, brownies and cheesecake bites were some of the items available. The event was also held on West Campus on Feb. 12.
The college also held a food drive for students on Feb. 13. The event was free and students could grab as many items as they needed. There was pie, bread, tortillas and more available.
The drama department’s upcoming musical performance, “The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee,” excites more than just the cast according to its various student performers. “This is the kind of show where there’s no real fourth wall, so if you’re sitting in the audience, you’ve come to the spelling bee and I’m going to look at you and I’m going to talk to you because I can and do see you,” cast member Mia Dobbins explained.
