New service gives students more options for transcripts

Students can now order their transcripts online instead of having to go to the Registrar’s Office.

“We implemented the online ordering system at the end of last semester,” said Elizabeth Adamson, registrar.

According to Adamson, there is no cost to students. Transcripts can now be sent electronically, printed and mailed to them, printed on campus for the student to pick up at the Registrar’s Office or mailed using FedEx.

The process, which takes about five minutes, can be done on any device by going to the Del Mar website, current students, transcripts, then place your order.

“I just wrote down my class info and sent it in,” said recent Del Mar graduate Justin Hinojosa.

Hinojosa said he found that getting his transcript at Del Mar was a lot smoother than other schools.

Another recent graduate, Jaime Ruth, said the transcript process was quick.

“Honestly, as a transfer, having this new online transcript system made it easy. It made the application process for transferring quicker,” Ruth said.

If students need their transcript mailed to another campus, there is a $25 FedEx service fee.
