CASA seeks volunteers to become voice for children in need
CASA of the Coastal Bend is an organization that aids in the care and advocacy of children in the foster care system. Their mission is “to speak up for and find permanent homes for foster children in crisis throughout Nueces, San Patricio and Aransas counties,” and they have succeeded in helping thousands of abused and neglected children in this area. Ultimate Frisbee tourney soars
ccarrillo@foghornnews.com With table tennis, a 5K fun run and an intense Ultimate Frisbee tournament, the past two weeks have been busy for Del Mar College Intramurals. Ultimate Frisbee was played in the gymnasium from Oct. 10-19. On the last day, the players were divided up into four teams and then competed for a spot in the finals.
