Local band releases first original EP album

If you are like me, a college student with little time and even less money, but love music, the local music scene has plenty to offer — no traveling required.

The Blind Owls are a great local band with a unique sound. They have covered Elvis Presley’s 1969 “Hound Dog,” Georgia Satellites’ “Hippy Hippy Shake,” and they just released their first original EP, “The Blind Owls Say Goodbye,” recorded with Cliff House Records here in Corpus Christi.

They have played at local venues such as The N A S A, House of Rock and outside of Axis Tattoo for Art Walk. They also travel to Austin and Houston for shows. Some shows have no cover charge and others have a small fee of $5. The N A S A is a BYOB venue so you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for that beer either.

They have a merch table at all their shows to help support their upcoming albums. They have their album, different shirt designs and posters.
