Dudics enters her final Faculty Art Exhibition

The Del Mar College Faculty Art Exhibition kicked off on Sept. 25. Charcoal, oil paintings, screen prints, ceramics, photography and other various art forms are featured in the exhibit. Upbeat jazz filled the lobby where people mingled and had drinks from the cash bar at the opening reception. The people in attendance ranged from family of faculty to students. Many were there to support Kitty Dudics, who is taking part in her final Faculty Art Exhibition. Local band releases first original EP album

If you are like me, a college student with little time and even less money, but love music, the local music scene has plenty to offer — no traveling required. The Blind Owls are a great local band with a unique sound. They have covered Elvis Presley’s 1969 “Hound Dog,” Georgia Satellites’ “Hippy Hippy Shake,” and they just released their first original EP, “The Blind Owls Say Goodbye,” recorded with Cliff House Records here in Corpus Christi.
