Holiday Music Spectacular

Rumors of indoor winter storms highlight Del Mar College Music Department’s Holiday Spectacular.

“There are some rumors that it might even snow during our performance, but I can’t confirm or deny anything” said Dr. Scott Hagarty, Associate Professor of Trumpet and Jazz.

The music department will host their annual Holiday Spectacular on Dec. 1. “There is a lot of variety in the type of ensembles and music that we will perform” said Hagarty.

According to Hagarty, the ensembles will include the MWF Jazz band, Del Mar Guitar Ensemble, Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, String Ensemble as well as several others. Audience members will be able to hear many festive Holiday favorites mixed in with some traditional repertoire.

The performance will be held at 7:30pm at the Richardson Performance Hall and will be free to the public. If you are not able to make it in person, it will be broadcasted live on DMCTV cable channel and live- streamed online as well.
