Tedy Bruschi vs. Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson
While watching ESPN or listening to ESPN radio I can’t seem to avoid hearing about Patriots legend Tedy Bruschi and Newly Acquired Patriot Chad Johnson. After Johnson tweeted he was in “awe” of Tom Bradys 512 passing yard performance, Bruschi slammed Johnson by saying he needs to stop being a fan and be a part of the game. Personally Bruschi took this too far and should be ashamed of himself for slamming Johnson. I sense jealousy coming from the former linebacker, as if he still wishes he was part of this amazing team. New Mascot to be unveiled
Kimberly Vera The new Del Mar Viking is landing soon. The college will unveil its mascot during a ceremony April 27 in the Harvin Center. “This event brings out another level of collegiate experience. It’s going to be great for community outreach,” said Rito Silva, vice president of student affairs. “The new mascot is a huge step for Del Mar College because it is the ultimate rally cry for our students and community to come together.” While the Viking has been Del Mar’s mascot since 1939, this is the first time the character will come to life. Demolition work results in changes to parking lots
Del Mar College continues its renovations, with the latest project being the demolition of Heritage Hall, which started over winter break. The space once occupied by Heritage Hall is planned to be used as the location for more parking for students, along with a new student plaza. Construction projects will continue throughout campus. Students and faculty can expect various building closures during upcoming renovations. The demolition is expected to be completed this spring. Author Miranda Lisette Medina
