Azrael Montoya amontoya@foghornnews.com Oklahoma native Dorothy Alexander came to share her life through her poetry as part of the Del Mar College Poetry Series. Alexander read her poem “Ode to Darkness,” where she talks about her family and the far expanses of the universe, during her Nov. 1 visit to Del Mar College. Bachelor of Science in Nursing underway
For students in Del Mar’s new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, balancing studies with their full-time jobs as nurses isn’t without its challenges — or rewards. With BSN becoming a preferred credential in health care today, DMC started offering the bachelor’s degree this fall. Because it is new, DMC has ensured that they gain feedback from students in the program and plan to continue shaping the program for all students’ needs and education. “The student/instructor interactions have been positive. Foghorn News to host ‘campus carry’ forum
Event seeks to educate about law, DMC’s gun-free zones The Foghorn News wants to make sure students are aware of the rules surrounding the new campus carry law that takes effect at Del Mar College in the fall.
