47th Annual Fulton Oysterfest kicks off March 5

FULTON — The 47th Annual Fulton Oysterfest returns Thursday, March 5, bringing four days of oysters, live music and family-friendly fun to the Fulton waterfront at the Fulton Convention Center, 402 N. Fulton Beach Road.

Hosted as an annual fundraiser for the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department, Oysterfest has become one of the Coastal Bend’s most anticipated events, drawing visitors and locals alike. What began as a grassroots effort to support the department has grown into a beloved tradition that continues to give back to those who serve the community.

Festivalgoers can expect plenty of fresh oysters, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, vendors and crowd-favorite contests throughout the weekend. From longtime residents to first-time visitors, Oysterfest offers something for everyone while supporting the vital work of the FVFD.

Thursday, March 5
Grounds open 5–10 p.m.
Music: Rowdy Pearl Snaps (5–7 p.m.), Chillbillies (7–9 p.m.), Dean Adamson (9–10 p.m.)

Friday, March 6
Grounds open 5–11 p.m.
Music: Steelwater Band (5–7:30 p.m.), Riptide (9–11 p.m.)
7:30 p.m.: Decorated Oyster Contest & Live Auction

Saturday, March 7
Grounds open 10 a.m. to midnight
11 a.m.: Parade on Fulton Beach Road
Music: Dale Watson (2–4 p.m.), Scotty Alexander (6–8 p.m.), Payton Howie (10 p.m.–midnight)
3 p.m.: Men’s Raw Oyster Eating Contest

Sunday, March 8
Grounds open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Music: Tumble Dry Low (12–2 p.m.)
3 p.m.: Women’s Raw Oyster Eating Contest
