Del Mar Cosmetology offers free haircuts for local youths Kids going back to school are often under pressure to look sharp, sporting new clothes and cool hairstyles, all of which can be costly. With this in mind, Del Mar cosmetology students stepped in with a solution that could benefit everyone. Dozens of colleges at Transfer Day
Graduation might seem far away but in reality, it’s waiting just around the corner. Transfer Day at Del Mar College aimed to prepare students for that next turn by allowing representatives from colleges to station themselves in the Harvin Center on Oct. 13 and talk to students about transferring. Dozens of colleges were present at the event, including Texas A&M, the University of Houston, Texas State University and many more. One of the colleges present was the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Both candidates give presentations in front of staff and faculty about their ideas and plans Two candidates for Del Mar College’s vice president of finance and business operations/chief financial officer, visited campus in early January for formal interviews. Gloria Walker and Carolyn Kasdorf also both gave presentations in front of faculty and staff about their ideas and plans for the college and how they would apply that to financial aspects like the budget.
