Backyard Games expands for spring
Intramurals has begun for the 2024 spring semester. In case you missed the registration date for the 150 Mile Bike Challenge, 100 Mile Walk/Run Challenge, or 40K Swim Challenge, there are plenty of upcoming virtual and in-person events to choose from. Popular events from past semesters will make a return such as the Skate Party and Color Run. The Skate Party will be held at Sk8tland on Feb. 22. Be sure to register by Feb. 20. Let the games begin
Students looking to keep fit do not need to look farther than the gym or their own neighborhoods. Intramurals plans a variety of sports and games for students this semester including football, soccer, basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Giant Connect 4 and the 100 Mile Challenge. “We want students to be more involved in our sporting events. We host all sorts of fun events and they are free,” said kinesiology major Hannah Reynolds. Jenga, the game of epic proportions

Six people attended to see how tall they could build the tower of blocks before it fell. It was an afternoon of high tension as participants held their breath in anticipation for whatever would happen next. Every time the blocks fell, a loud crash followed, rattling the table.
