Local fundraiser brings community together … in mud Amber Quaid / Managing editor Hundreds of people not afraid of getting dirty took part in the Junior League of Corpus Christi’s fourth annual 5K Run Amuck mud run on Sept. 27. Flour Bluff football season a lackluster one
Friday night lights came to an end Nov. 6. No, I don’t mean the movie or TV series. I’m talking about the Friday night lights that took place every Friday at Flour Bluff High School this football season. The Flour Bluff Hornets needed to win, and they needed a loss by either the Victoria East Titans or the Gregory Portland Wildcats. Flour Bluff beat the Alice Coyotes 27-21, but they didn’t get the loss they needed so their season end- ed in disappointment.
