One of the biggest challenges in Corpus Christi right now is finding an affordable place to live. In Nueces County, there are 41 affordable housing properties providing rental assistance to 4,274 low-income families. Rental assistance is a type of housing subsidy that pays for a portion of renter’s monthly housing costs, including rent and tenant-paid utilities.
