Handmade pottery sale set

The DMC art faculty will be selling handmade stoneware pottery to raise proceeds for the Student Art Association.

The sale will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 on the first floor of the Harvin Center.

“One hundred percent of the proceeds go toward art scholarships, portfolio awards and student exhibition awards,” said faculty member Kenneth Rosier.

The goal for each sale is to raise $1,500.

“This sale is held at the end of each spring and fall semester,” Rosier said. “We have had it this way for the past 30 years.”

He said the prices for the pottery will range from $5-$130.

“The pottery objects are food-safe, dishwasher-proof and microwaveable,” Rosier said.
