Spinning the Wheel of Aid

Financial aid held a Mardi Gras event on Feb. 25 in the Harvin Center. 

Students were informed of all the upcoming financial aid workshops. After signing in, students spun the wheel and received a prize. Cake and punch were also available to students.  

Upcoming financial aid workshops on East Campus are from 10 a.m. to noon March 5 and from 1:30-3:30p.m. April 29 in the White Library, Room 103. 

Financial aid workshops on West Campus are from 4-6p.m. March 18 and from 3-5p.m. May 20 in the Barth Learning Center, Room 102.

Four dog attacks were reported directly to the DMC Police while the other three were reported to Corpus Christi Animal Care Services. Del Mar’s history-making professor: Dr. Edith Parker

Over the years, Del Mar College has recognized many former presidents, regents, faculty, and students who have contributed to the college. Surprisingly however there is none for the professor whose death in 1985 was noted in newspapers throughout the United States. She was Dr. Edith Parker who wrote the declaration of war against Japan on Dec. 8, 1941. Del Mar College offers flexible jobs on campus

Finding a job with good pay and a flexible schedule is hard to find nowadays, but not at Del Mar College. Del Mar’s federal work study program ensures part-time jobs are available to undergraduate and graduate students with financial needs. “Typically when a student fills out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, it asks the question, are you eligible?
