Southside Campus construction on track

Facility expected to be finished in 2022 Construction of the Southside Campus is still underway and on track despite a year filled with hurricanes and a pandemic.  Del Mar College’s new campus features three areas of study known as the Centers for Excellence. These include architecture and drafting technology, biosciences, and hospitality and culinary arts.  In 2013, the Board of Regents approved a $6 million purchase of 96 acres of land for the new campus, located at the intersection of Yorktown Boulevard and Rodd Field Road. Most students in favor of on-campus housing, survey shows

86% say it would help them stay more engaged The majority of students who responded to a recent survey about on-campus housing support the idea, the Board of Regents heard at its November meeting. A total of 536 surveys were filled out before the Oct. 23 deadline, the Student Government Association said. Students received the emails from DMC’s Division of Student Affairs at the beginning of October. Spring 2021 registration now open

College to hold virtual rally today Del Mar College will host a virtual registration rally today as it kicks off registration for spring 2021 classes. This rally is for students and future students who have questions about registering for future classes, financial aid and more.  The rally will be hosted on Facebook Live at noon. Nursing program set to offer bachelor’s degree

Application period to open in February Del Mar College is now offering a bachelor’s degree program. Nursing students soon will be able to complete their training at Del Mar and earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Students are expected to start in fall 2021 and graduate in summer 2022.
