Since the COVID-19 pandemic happened, the IT Viking Help Desk has answered at least 1,634 phone calls, answered at least 1,652 emails, loaned out about 140 laptops and obtained almost $160,000 in hardware and software for students.
H-E-B employees are some of the workers considered “essential.” Health care providers, hospital personnel, funeral workers, security guards, law enforcement and fast food employees are also working despite the pandemic.
