Intramural sports offer many ways to stay active, be social and have fun this semester at several Del Mar campuses. At Heritage Campus, stop by the Kinesiology building room KN202 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:15-6:15 p.m. for Zumba classes. In addition, the gymnasium is open for recreational use from 2:30-5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and from 2:30-7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Recreational activities in the gym include basketball, table tennis, and pickleball. This feat, known as a triathlon, can intimidate even the most athletic among us. But one Del Mar College student isn’t afraid to test himself. Jeff Gutierrez, who hopes to become a firefighter, returned to school to earn his associate degree and improve his chances of landing a job.
