After a brief hiatus, the Corpus Christi Ride-In Theater is back presenting the 1989 classic American comedy “The Burbs.”

An overstressed suburbanite and his paramilitary neighbor struggle to prove their paranoid theory that the new family in town is a front for a cannibalistic cult.

The Ride-In Theater is gearing up for a festive night at the Watergardens.

Before the screening, there will be a Zumba event taking place near the fountains. Gear up for high-energy samba, flamenco, merengue and many other styles of dance. The instructors will be out and about teaching these different styles from 7-9 p.m.

After dancing part of the night away, head over to the Watergardens river and find a spot to watch the movie.

CC Liquor Catering will be in attendance serving an array of adult beverages, including a special shot that will be revealed at the screening. Outside alcohol is prohibited.

The delicious Callie’s Cajun will also be on site, serving an array of Cajun and Cajun-inspired treats.

Don’t forget your chairs, blankets, blow-up mattresses or whatever type of seating you choose to lounge in during the screening.

Mark your calendars for May 9 and join the Ride-In Theatre at 9 p.m. Or stop by early and get your groove on with the Zumba instructors at 7 p.m.
