The Math Lab has returned to the Coles Building after being relocated to the White Library since the summer while renovations were underway. The upgraded lab now offers students more technology and other resources than ever to help them get ahead.

“We have all kinds of new technology, touch-screen monitors, iPads, Surface Pros and laptops,” said David Longnecker, a tutor from the Math Lab. “You can tell the difference from what it looked like before to now.”

These resources aren’t only for math majors — they are available to all students, but the tutors focus on those who need help in math first. With new resources and technology, there is no reason why students can’t get help. The lab has professional math tutors who are there to lend a helping hand and walk students down the world of numbers and patterns.

“We want to make sure that your comfortable as a person first and then we can take care of your subject,” Longnecker said. “When students get frustrated, we turn from tutor mode, to counselor mode.”

If you’re having trouble in math and need one-on-one tutoring, the Math Lab is here for you. The lab is in Room 116 in the Coles Building on East Campus. Its hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. No appointments are necessary.
