Though March 12 started out cloudy with temperatures in the 50s, but by 1 p.m. the sun was shining with 70 degree weather. What a way to start spring break! Students at Del Mar College gathered in the Harvin Center for the annual Spring Break Bash.

Booths were set up for students to enjoy in the dining room area. The booths included body art, personalized license plates and a photo tent big enough for group pictures.

Vivien Garcia and Abigail Hernandez were considering body art possibilities and stopped long enough to say they were excited about spring break and looking forward to going to the beaches, but dreading the crowds this time of year.

Three women were exiting the photo booth after a group picture and were clearly having a good time.

“‘WE HAVIN’ FUN,’ be sure and put that all caps,” Abbigail Zamora stated with emphasis. At yet another booth the Math Club had a table covered with desserts. The Math Club also supplied music via a boombox.

All in all, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves pretty well, if the smiles and laughter were any indication.
