Learn how to get through the holiday season by being healthier with the Nurse Education Department at their Nutrition and Health Fair.
The Fair and the Virtual Dementia Tour will be held in Conference Room 1 in the Harvin Center from 8 AM to 5 PM on Dec. 3. It will be a showcase of the concepts students have learned throughout the semester, along with giving information to the community.
The Virtual Dementia Tour is a simulated sensory experience for those who care for an individual with the disease to provide insight about the physical and mental challenges of those suffering from dementia according to Donna Huddleston, associate professor of nursing.
DMC’s Nurse Education Departments focuses on raising awareness for those with dementia and their care. Throughout the year the department holds special events such as educational activities and simulations.
