What do you get when you put a rebellious, outspoken, smug fox in a situation that puts his family and friends at risk of losing their homes?

You get Wes Anderson’s first stop-motion film, “Fantastic Mr. Fox.”

The story is of an urbane fox, voiced by George Clooney, who cannot resist returning to his farm-raiding ways and must help his community survive the farmers’ retaliation.

Children will love its adorable characters while adults will marvel in its ability to connect with them.

The Ride-In Theater will screen “Fantastic Mr. Fox” once the sun goes down on Feb. 7 at the Watergardens.

The Ride-In Theater is an organization built nearly three years ago. It quickly grew into a monthly event that brings out hundreds of locals.

Over the past few months the Ride-In screened movies such as “Hocus Pocus,” a “Grease” singalong and “Home Alone 2, Lost in New York.”

While adding new food trucks, more sponsors and vendors, the Ride-In committee is dedicated to continuing this fun and free event.

Callie’s Cajun and Twisted Murphy’s food trucks will be on site this month offering up a delicious assortment of treats.

Outside alcohol is prohibited, but adult beverages will be sold at the event by Twisted Murphy’s.

Also, the Ride-In has a new “Ride-In Lounge” for its guests.

For $10 you are treated to a premium section of the Watergardens so you can take in the film in style and from the perfect vantage point, as well as cocktail lounge service so you never even have to leave your seat to get a drink.

For $20 you get the impressive section of the audience space, cocktail waitress service and a super-comfortable lounge chair so you can sprawl out and enjoy the film.

If you are interested in reserving your Ride-In Lounge Seating, please message the Facebook page with the number of guests you would like to have on the list and which level of lounge amenities you prefer.

All proceeds from the lounge go to the Corpus Christi Ride-In Theater and help ensure that the group can continue to bring quality, and most importantly, free entertainment to the Coastal Bend.
