‘Gut Girls’ debuts at Finley Theater

After many weeks of rehearsing, Del Mar College drama students debuted the play “Gut Girls” on Oct. 28 at the Finley Theater. “It was a good first run,” said Jada DeDonder, who plays Polly. DeDonder was also part of the costume production crew for the play. DeDonder plays one of many great, strong female roles in the play. Music professor to retire after 45 years of teaching

After 45 years of teaching at Del Mar College, music professor David Irving is going out on a high note. “I chose to retire this year because I wanted to stop doing this while I still loved it, and while I could still do it,” said Irving, who plans to retire at the end of this semester. “I know several guys who kept going when they should have quit.
