Youths build, test creations during camp Students from sixth to ninth grade spent part of their summer exploring the different fields of STEM. The six-week Corpus Christi Prefreshman Engineering Program camp hosted several dozen youths who were interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Students ended the program July 16 by testing their creations. Some of the students built and programmed robots that raced their way through an obstacle course, while others built bridges out of plastic straws that were tested for strength.
