Collegiate students get first taste of college classes

Collegiate students begin DMC classes   Imelda Gallegos Collegiate High School   The new semester has begun for Collegiate High School and Del Mar students. Jan. 17 was the first day students began college classes and the semester will end on May 10. Starting a new semester for students brings stress and excitement. Students will start their regular routines of waking up early for a class, working on projects and turning in assignments on due dates. DEA agent tells students about dangers of drugs

Mia Estrada Red Ribbon Week was full of activities for Collegiate High School students. The week, which began Oct. 24, had themes including Turn Your Back Monday, Team Up Against Drugs Tuesday, Lei Off Drugs Wednesday, Superhero Thursday and Crazy Sock Friday. These themes were planned by the Student Council, which allowed for students to engage with the subject matter of the fight against drugs. This is the week students piece together more of their future professions. Green Ribbon Week was initially discussed with Student Council officials; they established the structure of different themes for each day of the week.
